Symantec Endpoint Encryption Removable Media Encryption (SEE RME) has the ability to encrypt contents of USB drives. This request is to have additional logging on the SEE Management Server for additional logging and compliance.

Event logs are created on the client machine when a file is encrypted or decrypted to a removable storage device using Symantec Endpoint Encryption Removable Media Encryption (SEE RME). Event ID 701 is created in the Windows Application Event Log stating the name of the destination file. For example:
This is a request to have the client send those same logs to the Symantec Endpoint Encryption Management Server for reporting purposes and to log additional information such as the source folder and some file attributes such as date stamp and size.
Symantec Enterprise Division is committed to product quality and satisfied customers. Technical Support filed a Feature Request to add the functionality listed above. This Feature Request is currently being considered by Symantec Enterprise Division to be addressed in a forthcoming version of the product.
