After applying maintenance for z/OS 2.2 upgrade and performing an IPL, why are CA Datacom Server connections logins failing with:
[CA][ODBC CA DATACOM/DB Driver][EXT SEC]CAS9SAFC TRANSLATOR NOT FOUND
In this case, the customer was using the wrong load library which was missing the CAS9SAFC module for RACF.
Problem was resolved once they used the latest version and assured that both CCITCP and CAIENF were in the STEPLIB.
CA Common Services for z/OS Messages - 14.1 https://docops.ca.com/ca-common-services-for-z-os-messages/14-1/en/message-reference/cas9-messages/cas9023e
Reason:
An error was encountered during CAISSF initialization.
Action:
Ensure that the routines CAS9SEC and the external security translator are available through the CAS9 STEPLIB or the linklisted data set:
Security System | Translator |
---|---|
CA Top Secret | CAS9TS42 |
CA ACF2 | CAS9ACF2 |
RACF or RACF compatible | CAS9SAFC |
If the routines are present on the system and you want to update CAISSF through maintenance, use the PARM(REFRESH(SSF)) parameter. For more information, see CAS9INIT Parameter Statement.
