I don't know where I can find GSS documentation for my CA products.
Where can I find GSS documentation?
CA Common Services R14.1 -
You can find GSS documentation in CA Common Services R14.1 documentation at the url:
CA GSS Initialization Parameter Overview:
The CA GSS started task locates the member that contains the initialization parameters through &MEMBER and the PARMLIB DD statement.
CAW0OPTN(RUNPARM) is the default data set member that contains the parameters. During the CA GSS initialization, ISERVE reads
this member (and possibly others) to obtain information about CA GSS operation.
Depending on your CA products, you can customize certain CA GSS initialization parameters. Unless otherwise noted, specify parameters
on an as-needed basis. The following table provides an overview of these parameters and helps you determine which ones to customize.
and also at the url:
CA GSS System Security:
IMODs executing in a CA GSS address space can access and update various data sets and data areas. To prevent unauthorized activity,
CA GSS supports system security software that is compatible with the System Authorization Facility (SAF), including CA ACF2™ for z/OS,
CA Top Secret® for z/OS, and IBM RACF.
In z/OS, each task operates under the control of an access control environment element (ACEE), which controls access to all resources.
SAF-compatible security software maintains the ACEE based on a user ID and ensures that the necessary checks are provided.
CA GSS ensures that an appropriate ACEE is in place for each executing IMOD and that all services invoked on behalf of the IMOD execute
under the scope of that ACEE.
and for SYSVIEW product, you have the GSS member in:
* CA-GSS/MVS initialization parameters for CA SYSVIEW
* This member contains statements that are specific to the
* CA SYSVIEW product. These statements need to be included
* in the gss.PARMLIB(RUNPARM) member.
