Issue/Introduction

This KB explains how to use Vendor Certification Test feature in snmpcollector probe

 

Environment

snmpcollector : any version

Resolution

Vendor Certification Test feature is useful to verify the following items.

1. Supported metrics for a component.

2. List of OIDs used for metric.

3. Calculation formula for metric.

Example

Discovered a Brocade device in snmpcollector probe.

 

There are 5 metrics discovered for a CPU component.

Please highlight the component, click Option and Run Vendor Certification Test

 

This will make 2 polls with specified delta time, then calculate value for each metrics.

RED part is OIDs that are used for component.

GREEN part is list of certified metrics, values.

In this example, every metric is using one single OID.
