Issue/Introduction

The native SMP/E (non-CSM) installation of CA Top Secret r16.0 may fail with the following error during the APPLY job in hlq.SAMPJCL(TSS5APP):

GIM30206E ** APPLY PROCESSING FAILED FOR SYSMOD CAKOG00. HOLD REASON IDS WERE NOT RESOLVED.
GIM35901I    ERROR HOLD AC90345 WAS NOT RESOLVED.                           
GIM37001S ** APPLY PROCESSING STOPPED BECAUSE FUNCTION SYSMOD CAKOG00 FAILED.

Environment

TSS 16.0

Resolution

To avoid this SMP/E error, there are 2 options:

Option One
Modify the APPLY job to specify ‘BYPASS(HOLDSYSTEM HOLDERROR(reason id))’:  

1) Run the APPLY CHECK job in hlq.SAMPJCL(TSS5APP), with the 'BYPASS(HOLDSYSTEM HOLDERR(AC90345))' statement;
2) If run successfully, then run the APPLY job in hlq.SAMPJCL(TSS5APP) with 'BYPASS(HOLDSYSTEM HOLDERR(AC90345))';
3) If run successfully, then run the ACCEPT job in hlq.SAMPJCL(TSS6ACC);
4) If run successfully, then go to the 'Install the Maintenance' Section below and follow the instructions.

Option Two
Specify ‘//SMPHOLD DD DUMMY’ on the RECEIVE Job. After successful execution of the RECEIVE, execute the APPLY and ACCEPT jobs for the base product FMIDs:

1) Run the RECEIVE job in hlq.SAMPJCL(TSS4REC), but specify '//SMPHOLD DD DUMMY';
2) If run successfully, run the APPLY CHECK job in hlq.SAMPJCL(TSS5APP);
3) If run successfully, run the APPLY job in hlq.SAMPJCL(TSS5APP);
4) If run successfully, run the ACCEPT job in hlq.SAMPJCL(TSS6ACC);
5) If run successfully, go to the ‘Install the Maintenance’ Section below and follow the instructions.

Install the Maintenance
Once the Base product FMIDs have been successfully ACCEPT'd, then the Maintenance RECEIVE and APPLY jobs can be run, using the Error HOLDDATA and PTF Maintenance File.
1.) If the Base product has been successfully installed, run the RECEIVE job in hlq.SAMPJCL(TSS7RECP).
2.) If run successfully, run the APPLY CHECK job in hlq.SAMPJCL(TSS8APPY).
3.) If run successfully, run the APPLY job in hlq.SAMPJCL(TSS8APPY).
