Issue/Introduction

Part of our need to update to Common Services R15 is for CICS 5.5 compatibility. In our new R15 CAW0LOAD we have the CICS intercept module (CAS9C72), but not the CICS SPAWN intercept module (CAS9SP72). Should I expect to have this module, or has there been a change to this function?

We have not converted to the new release yet, but the R15 documentation reads like we should have this module.

We currently specify (R14.1) in ENFPARM:   MODE(CICSPAWN,ON)

ENFCIC : CAIENF/CICS

Resolution

We stopped providing ENF/CICS SPAWN support with CICS/TS 5.4
We are not aware of any CA Product that is still utilizing this ENF/CICS SPAWN service.
Any unknown proven requirement for this support needs to be reported to the CA Common Services support team for further evaluation.
