How can a report be generated on when alert notifications are sent?

Resolution

APM does not store when an alert action is triggered but does store the alert values. Which you could report on. These are stored under the virtual agent section see below for an example



What this does not of course handle is the criteria on which an alert action is triggered by the alert state.

Additionally there are log messages written to the MOM IntroscopeEnterpriseManager.log when an alert notification is sent but identifying the exact alert triggered may not be straight forward from the message as an alert action could be used by many alerts. As can be seen from the below log message examples only included are the alert action name and in the case of SMTP alert actions the recepient address. It also does not include the alert state.
