Issue/Introduction

Implemented r15 of Common Services and in my ENFIMUF startup I see the following and was wondering what they are and if they are required. Some previously existed, but some are new.

CAS9075I - Service(CA-CCI/BASE ) Vers(1500) Genlvl(F000AW400)

Environment

Release : 15.0

ENF : ENF COMMON COMP

Cause

At the previous CCS release levels, the individual ENF related components were shipped as separate FMIDs. With the introduction of CCS r15 the ENF related FMIDS were consolidated into a single FMID (CAW1F00).

As a result of the combining of FMIDS, the CAS9075I messages will be generated for each individual component. Review the documentation for each component for configuration.

Here is a comparison. This information is also delivered in the CA Common Services for z/OS 15.0 Release Notes.

Resolution

In general the ENFPARMS from the previous release should be carried over for CCS r15 asis with no changes.

The only change, which is documented in the Release notes is to specify MODE(CICS,NONE) and MODE(DB2,NONE) i
f your site is not running CA-ACF2 or CA-Top Secret and therefore not utilizing CA Security to secure CICS and DB2 resources.

The ENF/ SPAWN component is delivered as inactive by default. Utilize MODE(CICSPAWN,ON) to activate. See Component Reference for more information.

The ENF/USS component is used if securing USS environments with CA SAF HFS Security. Activation requires the specification of DCM(CARRDCM0) in addition to a CA Security provided DCM.
