New Timesheet Grid 15.7.1: Resource's timesheets display when closed for time entry or date of hire is past timesheet period

Issue/Introduction

Timesheets for the users are appearing in the New Timesheet grid unexpectedly in the below scenarios:

• Prior to the resource's date of hire (start date)
• Resource is close for time entry (Open for Time Entry is unchecked) in Home->Resources

The users timesheets correctly do not show up in the Review & Approval tab in the New User Experience (UX) so there are discrepancies between the grid and this section

Resolution

This is working as design as part of the implementation of a feature:

User is able to view all open timesheets for which user have access rights 

Access rights are set on Resources Object and user should be able to view all the time sheets for which he has ‘Resource Enter Time and Resource Approve Time’ instance rights and ‘Time sheet – approve all and Time sheet – Edit all’

You can not prevent the user from showing in the new UX timesheet grid in the above scenarios. 

• The only option would be to use the Review & Approve tab
• Or, if the user is also no longer using Clarity, you can make the user inactive, and then add Active = Yes to the filter to filter out inactive resources.
