Problem using Universal Monitoring Agent with JVM OpenJDK 11

Issue/Introduction

We get an error in the log when attempting to use the Universal Monitoring Agent with OpenJDK 11

[IntroscopeAgent.AutoAttachService] Unsupported JVM found. Skipping Attach. JVM
Info - Vendor : Oracle Corporation, VM Name : OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM,
Specification Version =11, Runtime Version =11.0.6+10-LTS

 

Environment

Release : 11.1.3

Component : APM Agents

Cause

UMA is not currently supported with Java 11

Resolution

UMA does not currently support Java 11 but it is a planned enhancement.

Additional Information

In the current latest UMA release, 2022.03 we support up to Java 12
