Issue/Introduction

Looking for a way that once setting the group of CICS regions in scope, that group of regions will stay in tact until changing the scope(group of regions).

For example, cannot set xsd groupname, issuing CTASK, SYSVIEW only return tasks in those CICS regions in the 'groupname'.

Or in CICSLIST, selecting name in groupname, then issuing CTASK, SYSVIEW only return tasks in those CICS regions WITHOUT re-select commands to filter out regions not needed.

Environment

SYSVIEW 15.0 & 16.0 - z/OS supported releases - 

 

Resolution

You can add the GROUP NAME as a Parameter on the CTASKS command:

Issue CTASKS

Issue PROFILE

Select the Miscellaneous Section

Add the GROUP GroupName as an Parameter such as:

Default parameters               GROUP GroupName

PF3 back and Save the Profile
