What is the best practice for moving a VCAIM to a new server and modeling in Spectrum VHM

Issue/Introduction

We have several VCAIMs running on Windows 2008, and they need to be moved to new machines running Windows 2016.  The new machines have new IPs and hostnames.  What is the best practice for uninterrupted monitoring?

Release : 10.4

 

Resolution

 The best practice would be best to stand up the new config and let it run for at least 24 hours so it can sync up and process the vm data.  After 24 hours verify the config is good.  In Spectrum update the IP address and then run a reconfigure model - right click -Reconfiguration -  Reconfigure Model.
