Extra Apostrophe in Identity Manager CSV Endpoint

Issue/Introduction

Having defined a CSV (Flat File) endpoint for CA Identity Manager (IM) to hold user attributes which contain an apostrophe, the CSV export encloses these in more apostrophes than expected.
 

For example:

 

ORIGINAL - test's I

EXPORT - 'test''s I'

 

ORIGINAL - 't

EXPORT - '''t'

 

Environment

Identity Manager 14.x & v15

Resolution

When you set up the CSV data source you are prompted to specify either an apostrophe ' or quotation marks " as the field delimiter.

If you are including apostrophes in the data source you should use quotation marks as the delimiter to avoid conflicts.
