Issue/Introduction

We are wondering if accessibility issues our Accessibility Team have noticed in the Modern UX with Clarity 15.7.1. would be addressed in a future Clarity release?

Environment

Release : 15.7.1, 15.8, 15.8.1, 15.9, 15.9.1, 15.9.2

Component : CLARITY ACCESSIBILITY

Resolution

Broadcom has prioritized WCAG Compliance (accessibility) as initiative for all of its Enterprise Software Division (ESD). 

From a high-level perspective, we have a 3-part plan for Clarity.

The Clarity team will start work as follows:

1. Engage 3rd party consulting firm (The Paciello Group) to perform an accessibility audit of Clarity's Modern UX. 
2. The output of the audit will result in a tangible list of remediations for the Clarity team to prioritize.
3. Product Management will produce a WCAG compliance roadmap for Clarity
4. The expectation is that Clarity PPM will be compliant in FY20.
5. More specifically, WCAG 2.1 level A and level AA success criteria
6. This roadmap can be shared with customers, and its progress, during planned quarterly reviews.
7. Execute the Clarity WCAG compliance roadmap
8. The expectation is that TPG will support the remediation effort from a QA perspective.
9. Remediations will be included with each Clarity quarterly release.
