How do we suppress these messages "CADD028I — ACCESSED FILE=xxxxxxx ..."?

Issue/Introduction

This message is appearing on one of our z/VSE consoles. You are finding this message distracting and would like to prevent it from displaying. However it is only happening to one of our 3 z/VSE machines. Does this have something to do with configuration? How do we prevent the display?

 

Resolution

Utilize the SET Command to set what messages are sent where.

As an example, the following command would suppress messages to the console.

SET CONSOLE=OFF
