Issue/Introduction

Office365 Probe Verify Selection works but the Profile goes into a Failure State when attempting to pull the Office 365 Inventory items list.

Errors captured in the office365.log :

office365] (1) error, Inventory update failed for %office365source%: Software caused connection abort: recv failed
Caused by: java.net.SocketException: Software caused connection abort: recv failed

OR

office365] (1) error, Inventory update failed for %office365source%: Connection reset
Caused by: java.net.SocketException: Connection reset

Cause

Office365 probe uses protocol TLS 1.1 with jave_jre versions prior to 1.80 and communicate fails.
Office365 probe requires java_jre version 1.80+ in order for the probe to communicate via TLS 1.2

Environment

Release : 9.0.2

Component : UIM - OFFICE365

Resolution

update the java_jre version to 1.8+ on the office365 robot
