UNABLE TO ACCESS THE SOAP API and REST API

When attempting to connect to the SOAP API, an empty response is returned and the following error is thrown:
Error getting response; javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: Received fatal alert: handshake_failure

This error occurs with the older 5.3.0 version of the SOAP UI. If the newer 5.5. version is used, the connection will be successful.
