Issue/Introduction

Deleted server and it comes back as a virtual machine

Device that doesn't seem to have a data collector associated with it.

Tried to rediscover it using a new IP that is available and it still shows the old IP.

I tried to delete the device, then rediscover using the new IP but all of the same information came back.

Also, the monitored devices list shows that the device is active.

Cause

Virtual machines are discovered through the VCAIM:

Resolution

If you don't monitor the VCAIM, the virtual machines will not return
