Issue/Introduction

How to enable the Advanced Password Services in the SiteMinder Policy Server if the Basic Password Services was enabled during the initial Policy Server configuration?

Environment

Policy Server 12.8 Any

Any OS

Resolution

Please do the following to enable the Advanced Password Services(APS):

• Re-run Policy server configuration wizard. (ca-ps-config.exe or ca-ps-config.bin)
• In the first screen, Choose Features, don't choose to configure any of the features/components
• In the second screen, Choose Password Services, choose 1-Advanced Password Services
• Complete the configuration and proceed with the APS configuration per the documentation
