How to find the member of a catalog application's group in EEM

Issue/Introduction

For example ,  I have a catalog application group in EEM  which is called 'eSam_Manual_Purchase' . How can I find all the contacts/users which is in this catalog application group ?

Environment

Release : 12.9 , 14.1 , 17.1, 17.2 

Component : CA SERVICE CATALOG

Resolution

There is no straightforward way for it .   However , you can do the following to find out all the users which are the member of a catalog application group , for example 'eSam_Manual_Purchase' group , in EEM :

- Login to EEM as EiamAdmin   by selecting catalog application in Application select dropdown  
- Navigate to Configure tab
- Select EEM server 
- select Export application 
- Select users  checkboxes  :







- It will export to a  .xml.gz file .  You can unzip it and get the XML file in it .

- and use notepad++  open that xml file and search eSam_Manual_Purchase , you should be able to find something like :

   <GroupMembership>eSam_Manual_Purchase</GroupMembership>
  </User>
  <User folder="/" name="abc1">
   <GroupMembership>eSam_Manual_Purchase</GroupMembership>
  </User>
  <User folder="/" name="approver1">
   <GroupMembership>eSam_Manual_Purchase</GroupMembership>
  </User>
 

From above , you can tell user alex1, abc1, approver1 are the member of 'eSam_Manual_Purchase'  catalog application group in EEM currently
