Devices receiving unwanted ICMP communication from Data Collector

Issue/Introduction

Devices in an IP range that should not be contacted by the Data Collectors are being communicated with using ICMP.

Environment

All supported Performance Management releases

Cause

The IP addresses were found in the Discovery Profiles used by integrated Data Sources for device contribution to the Data Aggregator.

Whenever those profiles are run, any devices not responsive and still in the list from previous runs will be queried again.

Resolution

Remove the IP addresses from Discovery Profiles.
