Resolution
The "recycling" of the View tapes takes place, first, with running the SARPAC function.
SARPAC writes only the active reports to a new tape, bypassing expired reports.
The tapes out of SARPAC all have only active reports on them.
When a View backup runs after the SARPACing of the tapes, the older tapes will be expired, as they no longer contain active reports.
