Issue/Introduction

Spectrum 10.3 introduced a new script "monitoring_profile.pl" located in <SPECROOT>/Install-Tools/PostInstall directory. This script provides detailed information on MIB, Trap Details, Pollable Attributes for a particular model type. Useful for understanding what MIBs are being used to monitor a device.

Environment

Release : 10.3

Component : Spectrum Core / SpectroSERVER

Cause

In Some cases a known MIB may not show in the monitor_profile.pl results files, such as "Mib_list_<model_handle>.txt" output file. In these cases, the MIB may need to be associated with the model type using Model Type Editor (MTE).

This doc provides steps to add MIB to MTE as described in the Self_Certification section of the Spectrum User Guides

NOTE: Using MTE is an advanced step in managing Spectrum model types. Please be sure to review all documentation on using MTE before attempting the procedures outlined in this doc. Note that Broadcom is not responsible for any unexpected results due to incorrect usage of MTE - if you require any assistance on the steps outlined in this KB, please contact Spectrum Support.
