Issue/Introduction

When trying to send object data via email from the Windows Client it does not work. The emails never arrive.
Is there any configuration required to make this work?

Resolution

Depending on the network environment it might be necessary to customize any of the following email Related Options in the Windows Client:



For details on these option Click on Help in the lower right corner.

In order to test the configuration the MailTester.exe Program might be used. It is installed along with the Windows Client.
It can be launched directly from the installation folder C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\BrightStor SRM\Bin or search for Mail Tester App in the Windows Menu.



Fill out the different options and run through the tests. Optionally, save the current settings in the Windows Client Options.
