Issue/Introduction

The CA Directory (<hostname>-impd-co) process and the Provisioning Server service does not start.
 [ERROR] im_ps is stopped
 [ERROR] <hostname>-impd-co stopped

Looking at the log of <hostname>-impd-co_trace.log, there is below message.
* [0] 20200205.191702.607 DSA_I3420 The DXgrid .db file failed to load as it contains the object identifier '(1.3.6.1.4.1.791.2.3.5.3.5001.1.17)' which is not defined in the directory schema. If using a copy of the .db file, please ensure the schema used by the DSA matches where the .db file was sourced.
* [0] 20200205.191702.607 DSA_E1280 Error in initialization files
* [0] 20200205.191702.607 DSA_I1240 DSA shutting down

Cause

This is a known issue.

The schema extension file, such as etrust_cosx.dxc is reverted back to default each time the Provisioning Server is restarted and you lose the changes.

Component : CA IDENTITY SUITE (VIRTUAL APPLIANCE)

Resolution

<Workaround>
Edit /opt/CA/Directory/dxserver/config/schema/impd.dxg file and change the file reference(source) to other than "etrust_cosx.dxc".
eg)
#source "etrust_cosx.dxc";
source "etrust_cosx111.dxc";
Please make customization other than the file called etrust_cosx.dxc(example: etrust_cosx111.dxc).

This fix will be included in the next CP.
