What is the difference between running a discovery profile, versus hitting the rediscover button from the details tab of a device

Resolution

One difference is that hitting Discover button will re-evaluate the device contact status.  Also, if the community name changed, the discovery from Discover button will NOT re-discover the new SNMP profile.  It is also worth noting if a device has been replaced, either discovery method will update the model and sys descr (i.e the system attributes)
