Rally- Unable to change portfolio item name in the workspace settings. Getting a red error box around the name.

Issue/Introduction

 

User would like to change a portfolio item type name from "Initiative" to "do not use - Initiative" as they want to communicate to users not to use this portfolio item type. When making the change, it is not saving and the portfolio item type is highlighted in red.

Environment

Release : SAAS

Component : AGILE CENTRAL

Cause

When renaming portfolio item types non-alphanumeric characters cannot be used.  



The following error will appear and the name will be changed back to its original name

Resolution

Use a name that contains non-alphanumeric characters.
