NullPointer Exception seen in Tomcat log during UIM sync

Issue/Introduction

I am seeing the following error in the tomcat log:

Feb 10, 2020 09:13:47.566 (PoolThread-5: UIMDataProcessorPool => UIMDataProcessorForSpectrumRest.processHostEntityData) (NimsoftIntegrationServlet) - Processing Host

entities.

Feb 10, 2020 09:13:47.623 - ThreadPool: exception thrown from ThreadTask: java.lang.NullPointerException

Environment

Release : 10.4.1

Component : Spectrum Applications

Cause

UIM Integration with Spectrum may throw this exception in the OneClick tomcat log during model sync, if no physical hosts are being synced (only virtual host models are being sync.)  This will be resolved in a future version of Spectrum.

Resolution

This NullPointer exception is bening and no further action is required. The error will be resolved in a future version of Spectrum.
