Issue/Introduction

Using the Windows Client, I can navigate to Backup and Archive Management -> DFSMShsm -> Control Data Sets -> MCDS Records and get a listing of datasets matching the filter.

On the Web Client, navigating to the same object tree location, I get the message:  VKG0844I No Disk Dataset Found For Object=HSMCD.

What is causing this difference?

Resolution

The HSMCD object has RT and DC mode processing.
In the windows client, RT mode is the default and in the web client DC is the default.

In RT mode, no script is needed to run, but in the DC mode the scripts regarding the HSM must be run.

In the Web Client using RT mode processing can be done, but it must set manually.
