SAP job failure with error number 237 Receiver object could not be created

Issue/Introduction

SAP job which used to work fine fails returning the following error:

BAPI error number  : 237

            id      : XM

            message : Receiver object could not be created

            msg v1  : BAPI_XBP_JOB_CLOSE

            msg v2  : No address exists

 

What does this means, and what can be done ?

Release : 6.8

Component : DOLLAR UNIVERSE

Resolution

Problem was related to SAP. Someone had deleted the defined SAP output recipient (Receiver Object) in SAP, causing $Universe not being able to trigger the SAP job.
