Issue/Introduction

We are tracking conversion to IP6 and want to follow up and see what the current status is for going to IPv6 with PAM. We are mainly interested in Privilege Access Manager and Socket Filter Adapters.

Resolution

For all PAM versions through the 4.1.3 release, IPV6 support in PAM is very limited. The PAM server itself can be configured with an IPV6 address and accessed that way, but most PAM functionality only works in an IPV4 environment. This includes PAM components such as the Socket Filter Agent.

Full IPv6 was added for the 4.1.4 release, please refer to the following documentation link for more details.
