Environment

Release : 3.7

Component : IM Reporting / Admin / Configuration

Resolution

As of 3.7.0, you have NFA integrated, you will see  Retired devices in CAPM due to:

https://techdocs.broadcom.com/content/broadcom/techdocs/us/en/ca-enterprise-software/it-operations-management/performance-management/3-7/building/manage-devices/manage-device-life-cycles.html#concept.dita_005d59f956957bb229aef61ae863711b119c940b_RetirementConsolidation

When the device is retired in NFA, it retires the device in CAPC.

Then CAPC automatically discovers the new devices via the following (Changes to Life Cycle Management):

NFA should create a new device and sync that up for the same IP, and we'll discover a new device in DA to go along with it.

The old NFA/DA device should be retired and reportable.

NFA would need to contribute to DA to automatically discover new DA items from NFA otherwise old DA/NFA is retired and we end up with NFA only device.
