Is support available for on-premise appliances that have had software components updated?
In general, support can not be guaranteed for an on-premise appliance if packages have been updated. Our software is tested to run on specific versions of the bundled components and there is no way to ensure that issues are not introduced when supporting software is upgraded.
Any updates that are done are done so at the customer's risk. If the customer chooses to accept this risk, it is highly recommended that a complete backup be performed prior to the update.
