Issue/Introduction

Requirement is that when a given CO is being created, depending on the selection of the category or template, certain fields, such as description field, would be pre-populated but locked out to prevent editing without authorisation.

Resolution

SDM functionality does not permit for fields to be marked as read-only out of box under specific conditions such as category selection or template.

One could develop a custom form that will selectively display such fields as read-only based on category or template selection.  However, this would require a services engagement to implement.
