ERROR: HTTP 500 internal Server Error Login Issues with OM Web Viewer 12.1

Issue/Introduction

Users are unable to login to web viewer from the internet browser. The user gets HTTP 500 internal Server Error. 

These error messages were found in the Logs:
EntityManager indicates database, starting at line 16584

legalStateException: Attempting to execute an operation on a closed EntityManagerFactory.javax.faces.FacesException: #{loginBean.log
 inAction}: javax.faces.el.EvaluationException: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Attempting to execute an operation on a closed EntityManagerFactory.

In wvtrace.log.2020-02-06, There were database errors from 09:01:01,749 to 11:10:00

ERROR 06 Feb 2020 09:01:00,834 [WebSphere WLM Dispatch Thread t=00abccf0] com.ca.erm.webviewer.control.AdminPrefDetailBean: getPrefList - Database Query(selectPreferences) fails. Attempting to execute an operation on a closed EntityManagerFactory.
