spectrumgtw probe log reports: Error while processing vmotion data: null

Issue/Introduction
I had the same problem as described in article 121376 (Fatal errors in spectrumgtw probe).
This article refers to spectrumgtw probe hot fix 8.67HF4.
We have now deployed 8.67HF4 and as part of the actions cleared the spectrumgtw cache:
a). stop the spectrumgtw probe
b). remove all files from Cache folder except *.dat files
c). start spectrumgw probe
However the probe now crashes about once a day and we see the following error in the log:
Error while processing vmotion data: null

Resolution
Upgraded vmware probe from version 7.11 to 7.14
Ensure the probe is deactivated, allowed to drop port/pid then activated allowed to obtain port/pid
Deactivate spectrumgtw probe, allow port/pid to drop, then activate probe and check results.
