Issue/Introduction

There are two sections in the Environment Changes section of Upgrade documentation, "Update Role Definitions" and "Update Existing Account Screens", that says to update the xml on Management Console.
For example from the 14.3 Upgrade Documentation on Environmental Changes:

14.3 Upgrade Documentation on Environment Changes

How do we know what RoleDefinitions should be imported?

Environment

Release : 14.3

Component : CA IDENTITY Management and Management Suite.

This knowledge should apply to all prior and future versions as well.

Resolution

1.  For the Role Definitions, you should import the role definition that matches your environment.

         a. If you do not utilize Provisioning Server and are not setting Users in Organizations within IM, import Upgrade-14-to-14.X-RoleDefinitions-NoOrganization.xml

         b. If you do not utilize Provisioning Server and are setting Users in Organizations within IM, import Upgrade-14-to-14.X-RoleDefinitions-Organization.xml

         c. If you do utilize Provisioning Server and are not setting Users in Organizations within IM, import the "Upgrade-14-to-14.X-RoleDefinitions-ProvisioningNoOrganizations.xml

         d. If you do utilize Provisioning Server and are setting Users in Organizations within IM, import the "Upgrade-14-to-14.X-RoleDefinitions-ProvisioningOrganizations.xml

2.  For the Account Screens, you should import the updated role definitions file for the endpoint you are using.
Compare the list of updated endpoints account screens from the documentation with the endpoints you have deployed and are using and import the updated Account Screen definitions for those endpoints.
