"External Authentication" field availability in Non SSO SaaS environments

Clarity PPM SaaS Clarity PPM On Premise

Issue/Introduction

External Authentication shows in our SSO environments (such as Prod) but not in our Non SSO environment. Is this expected?

Steps to view External Authentication field:
1. Log in to Clarity PPM and go to Administration->Resources
2. Click on a Resource
3. Check to see if the External Authentication field and check box displays

Resolution

  1. For SaaS / On Demand customers not using SSO: This is expected behavior
    • This field displays when LDAP is enabled for the environment, and for SaaS environments, LDAP is only configured if SSO is used.
  2. For On Premise customers, you can use LDAP without SSO
