Issue/Introduction

My custom portlet is returning unexpected/wrong results, what to do?

Environment

Release : All supported Clarity releases

Component : CA PPM USERS, GROUPS, OBS ADMINISTRATION

Resolution

First, determine what the data provider the portlet is based on.

  1. To do this, click on Configure - General
  2. See the ID of the portlet
  3. Now go to Administration - Portlets
  4. Browse for this specific portlet ID
  5. Open it and see in the General tab - you will be able to see if this a "Query" or "Object"

If this is a custom query, then you have to ask the developer of this custom query to correct it. This would not be something that Broadcom Support can assist with.

If this is an OOTB data provider then this is something that can be raised as support ticket with Broadcom Support. Please make sure you check for any known issues in our Support Portal.
