Issue/Introduction

CORBA calls rejected error when running the Spectrum Modeling Gateway tool

ERROR: CORBA call to the SpectroSERVER on spectrum have been rejected.

Environment

Release : Any

Component : Spectrum Core / SpectroSERVER

Cause

Possible causes include:

1. This host may not be in the .hostrc file of the SpectroSERVER spectrum

2. The login user, or the user specified by the "-user" option, may not be in the SpectroSERVER database

Resolution

If running the modelinggateway tool from one SpectroSERVER system to a different SpectroSERVER system, make sure:

1. The hostname or ip address of the SpectroSERVER system you are running it from is in the $SPECROOT/.hostrc file of the SpectroSERVER system you are running it to.

2. The username you are logging in on the SpectroSERVER system you are running from is a valid Spectrum user on the SpectroSERVER system you are running it to.


If you are running the modelinggateway tool on the SpectroSERVER system you are logged into, make sure the username you logged into the system with is a valid user in the SpectroSERVER database.

NOTE: Spectrum usernames are case sensitive. User "Spectrum" is not the same as user "spectrum".
