Issue/Introduction

In DSM Web Console several machines report these Health Monitoring alerts :
CAF not working.
CAF on the computer TEST is not working. Caf is not running.



Cause

This problem could occur at reboot of computer if hmagent service (CA DSM r14 Health Monitoring Agent Service) is started before CAF service (CA DSM r14 Common Application Framework)

Environment

Release : 14.0

Component : Client Automation

Resolution

Set the service "CA DSM r14 Health Monitoring Agent Service" in startup type = "Automatic (delayed start)" on Agent machines



This could be done in command line with :

sc config hmagent start= delayed-auto


This command line could be executed via an Asset Job or SD Job
