SARDRP01 Allocation failed for "T.APPHRMS.SARMSA.SARFRDS.D0007005" - Error=04C8
SARSTC29 Forward recovery terminated due to error
A SARDRP01 error can when the SARSTC task wants to allocate a new Forward Recovery Dataset (FRDS), with the running of a View backup.
The reason for the error is either because there is insufficient contiguous space available, based on the SARINIT RCVPRIM and RCVSEC parameters (FRDS primary and secondary allocations), or because there is a problem with a pack, or packs, that are under SMS control.
A new Forward Recovery Dataset (FRDS) is opened at the run of a View standard backup.
A FRDS is used to contain reports that are collected with the current generation, to be used in the SARDBASE RESTORE recovery process.
To note, which may sound contrary to logic, in the setting of SARINIT parms RCVPRIM (primary allocation) and RCVSEC (secondary allocation), it is suggested to code the RCVSEC to have a higher value than the RCVPRIM.
To create a new set of Forward Recovery Datasets, a View backup needs to run.
