Connector server fails to read Skype Attributes

Issue/Introduction

The Connector server fails to read Skype attributes in AD with the following error message:

JNDI: [LDAP: error code 1 - Unable to get Skype for Business attributes: System.Management.Automation.Remoting.PSRemotingTransportException: Starting a command on remote server failed with the following error message : The request for the Windows Remote Shell with ShellId XXXXXXX-YYYYY-ZZZ-WWWWWWW failed because the shell was not found on the server. Possible causes are: the specified ShellId is incorrect or the shell no longer exists on the server. Provide the correct ShellId or create a new shell and retry the operation. The only way to work around it is to restart Connector Server

Environment

Identity Suite 14.3
Standalone or Virtual Appliance

Cause

The System Environment variable was not set in the Connector Server machine.

Resolution

Create a new System environment:

ADS_LYNC_SESSION_PERSISTS=0

After that, restart the Connector Server service.
