We have users that are reporting at separate times but for same network that they are seeing 502 - Bad gateway error.

The 502 error is thrown by the gateway forwarding requests from user to NetOps Portal. So issue is occurring on the gateway not the NetOps Portal. I did some more research and found this definition for the error.
The 502 Bad Gateway error is an HTTP status code that means that one server on the internet received an invalid response from another server. 502 Bad Gateway errors are completely independent of your particular setup, meaning that you could see one in any browser, on any operating system, and on any device.
The issue is with something in the network or browser and not with the DX NetOps Performance Management application.
