Unable to get to UMP login page error site can not be reached

Issue/Introduction

When attempting to access the UMP portal from a web browser at the http://<ump hostname> URL, the following error appears in the browser:

 

The connection to the UMP portal was working with no issues previously.

Environment

Release : 9.2.0 (or earlier),20.x

Component : UIM - UMP (any version)

Cause

The http_port was modified in the wasp.cfg and changed from the default 80 to 79.

Resolution

Either of the following 2 options will correct this issue:

1.  Change the http_port key value in the UMP wasp.cfg file back to the default value (80) in order to access the UMP portal from a web browser without having to specify a port in the URL:  http://<UMP hostname>

2.  Include the configured port in the UMP portal URL:  http://<UMP hostname>:79
