Issue/Introduction

When an event is created in CA Identity Manager and is approved in the CA Identity Portal as part of a two stage approval process any comment left by the Business Approver is not visible to the Technical Approver.

 

 

 

Cause

This is the expected behavior in both 14.2 and 14.3.

Environment

Release : 14.2 and 14.3

Component : IdentityMinder(Identity Manager)

Resolution

Work items generated in CA Identity Portal will have a request ID whereas work items generated directly in the backend system will not have a CA Identity Portal request ID. (as per the documentation)

When a task is created in the CA Identity Portal (IP), it is the event ID which binds the workflow transaction and comments together. When an event is created through CA Identity Manager (IM) there is no event ID to bind to the comments, so the comments cannot be displayed.
