CA Network Flow Analysis (NetQos / NFA)

Issue/Introduction

After upgrading NFA to a new version, you may run into an issue where all services are started but the NFA's NetQoS Reporter/Analyzer Pump Service refuses to start. Last flow times will be stuck at the time which that harvester the device is pointing to was upgraded. Other things affected include Enterprise Overview Page, interfaces will not license.

Environment

Component : NQRPTA - REPORTERANALYZER

Cause

The new NFA Pump service can not process .FLT files which were created on previous versions.

Resolution

1. You must go to each NFA Harvester and delete all files from:

    x:\CA\NFA\Netflow\datafiles\NFMinput

2. Go to the NFA Console server and delete all files (DO NOT DELETE THE "Staging" FOLDER):

    x:\CA\NFA\REPORTER\datafiles\input
    x:\CA\NFA\REPORTER\datafiles\input\Staging

3. Start the NetQoS Reporter/Analyzer Pump Service. Within 15 minutes, last flow times should be current and all interfaces waiting to be licensed should license.
