Issue/Introduction

Is it possible to run two different MAT server versions concurrently on one LPAR with both having the DB2 Harvester active?

Environment

Release : 12.0

Component : CA MAINFRAME APPLICATION TUNER

Resolution

The Mainframe Application Tuner’s Harvester is version specific. Two MAT servers with different versions can be used, but it always connects to its "own" DB2 subsystem.

There is a reload command that will "unplant" the Harvester from DB2. So it is possible to plant MAT version 11.0, use it, and if required, it can be reloaded and planted for MAT version 12.0.

It is impossible to obtain harvested data with MAT 11.0 while MAT 12.0 is planted and vise versa.

You need to reload and plant every time you wish to use other MAT version.
