Issue/Introduction

Trying to compile a DB2 resource rule with $KEY(TBL) and SERVICE(SELECT) , get an error message for the SELECT. The ACF2 DB2 option already installed.

Possible ACF7A216 messages on the console if the GSO APPLDEFs are refreshed via F ACF2,REFRESH(APPLDEF):

ACF7A216 RSB ACFD2xxx NOT FOUND IN LPA, BYPASSING RECID EXITS FROM RECORD; SYSID: **** RECID: APPLDEF.xxx  INVALID

Resolution

The ACF2/DB2 module was that is involved in the the REFRESH of the ACF2/DB2 APPLDEF is an LPA module. As part of the installation of ACF2/DB2 the ACF2/DB2 installation CAILIB and CAILPA must be added to the z/OS system concatenations.

Implement CA ACF2 Option for DB2 in Target z/OS System

CA ACF2 Option for DB2 is installed into libraries. Some of the libraries have to be implemented in the target z/OS system, as follows.

  • CAI.CAILIB. This library must be added to the active link list (LNKLSTnn) of the target z/OS system, or the software must be copied from CAI.CAILIB to a library in the active link list and must be APF authorized
  • CAI.CAILPA. This library must be added to the active link pack area list (LPALSTnn) at the target z/OS system, or the software must be copied from the CAI.CAILPA to a library in the active LPA list.
