Issue/Introduction

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Go to Home->Resources and click on a resource with the OBS

2. Click Save

Expected Results: No error

Actual Results: Receive error "Invalid unitId value 5xxxxxx given for attribute odf_obs_fin_dept"

If you try to select a different OBS from the browse icon, no values appear

Cause

This can happen if the department OBS for the resource is not associated to the resource object.

In prior releases it was possible to have the department OBS set without the association which allowed the OBS to be populated.

Resolution

Ensure the Department OBS for the resource with the error is associated to the Resource Object using the below steps:

1. In Clarity PPM, go to Administration->OBS, and click on the link to the OBS
2. Under the Associated Objects section, click Add if the object is not listed already
3. Check the check box next to the object  (Resource in this example) and click Add
